Omkar Nath Sharma was born in 1940 in delhi. At the age of 12 he was hit by a car and this caused a permanent damage to his leg. He find its very difficult to walk. He is known as Medicine baba because he runs a medicine bank which gives free medicine to the poor and the needy. He daily walks with his damaged leg to collect free medicine from the public. Sharma was a blood bank technician in a hospital. What changed his life was a metro bridge collapsed in 2008 in delhi and he saw the miserable condition of the poor who was not able to get proper treatment because they cannot afford it. He is leading this life with a mentally challenged son. He walks about 6 to 7 kilometres daily to collect the available medicine. You can also donate medicine to him.
